Objectives of the Association

The objectives of the Association were established in response to the principal concerns of its founding Members and have remained consistent over the years. They can be summarised as follows:

• to provide greater control over the availability and scope of their professional indemnity insurance, which is fundamental to a Member's business.
• to achieve stability in the cost of cover.
• to avoid the inherent conflict of interest in maintaining professional indemnity insurance in the same market in which brokers trade.
• to provide confidentiality in a sensitive area of business.
• to ensure that the relationship between the Members and The Griffin is based on a spirit of partnership.
• to achieve cost savings in the long-term.
